MIKE PORTER

I got into coaching because I've seen what happens when people finally start doing the right things consistently. Not perfectly, just consistently. Energy changes. Confidence changes. Life gets better. That's what drives me.

I coach spin, I coach runners, and I work with people on their overall lifestyle, because none of it exists in a vacuum. You can't out-train poor recovery. You can't outwork inconsistency. And you don't need to do anything extreme to get real results. The fundamentals done well, applied consistently, over time. That's what actually works.

I live this myself. My schedule gets busy. Work, family, training, it all has to fit together. I adjust when needed, prioritize recovery, and stay grounded in what works long term. That's the standard I hold myself to, and it's the same one I bring to you.

At 56 years old, I'm as active as I've ever been. I play hockey at least twice a week, hit the trails for hikes that are challenging - the kind where you earn the view - and walk most mornings with my wife Tracy and our West Highland Terrier, Gus. No aches, no pains, nothing holding me back. A big part of that comes down to the little things most people don't talk about: proper mobility, stretching, rest, cold exposure. The goal is simple: to still be doing all of these things with confidence into my 60s, 70s, and 80s. That's what I'm building toward, and it's exactly what I help you build toward too.

I work best with you when you're ready to be honest with yourself. You don't need to be advanced, but you do need to be willing. Real change doesn't come from motivation. It comes from habits that hold up when motivation isn't there.

If you're wondering what it's like to work with me, it's straightforward. You'll get support, but you'll also get the truth. I'll meet you where you're at, but I won't let you stay there if you're capable of more. Clear plan, consistent effort, real results.
